A legend for Europe
At the beginning of time,
long before our lives, the Earth was ruled by five female divinities, better known as The Five A’s. Each one of them
lived in a different continent: Asia, America, Africa, Australia and Antarctica. Under their domination
mankind thrived and prospered and everywhere there was respect for The Five A’s.
Only one of them
had something evil growing inside:
Antarctica
was far away from all the other continents and didn’t feel important. This wasn’t true, of course, but while time
passed bad feelings were growing stronger minute after minute, and one day she started hating the others.
Therefore she decided to put her collegues one against the other, inventing lies and telling tales.
But the other divinities didn’t believe her ridicolous stories and understood her evil projects.
They decided to punish her by making
Antarctica extremely inhospital and cold, covering her with ice and freezing deserts. But soon they realized that by doing
this they would leave a lot of innocent people homeless, and so decided to create a new continent, where all the
inhabitants of Antarctica would move and live happy ever after, ruled by a new Goddess, who would inherit the best qualities
of the four good Goddesses.
She was really perfect, and to make her stand out above the others they called her Europe, choosing a name without
the initial A but with the prefix Eu, that in Greek means “Good”.
